Longtime local entertainer and roustabout DJ Steve, a.k.a DJ Pressplay a.k.a. Phoo a.k.a. 'Mater, and his wife Li-ling have announced the noisy arrival into this world of their daughter Hai-li at 1:26AM today. All of me here at Chewin in the Chung offer congratulations to the parents, noting that our friend Steve was extremely lucky to have such a good excuse not to watch that Czech-induced catastrophe last night (assuming he didn't sneak into the hospital waiting room to sneak peeks between contractions).
Speculation has already begun as to whether Hai-Li's first gift from Dad will be a basketball or a CD player.
