I found some beans that may very well be something remotely related to canneli beans. So that's all good. I'm drawing blank stares everywhere on 'White Shoepeg Corn'. And I sure as hell don't know how to say 'shoepeg' in Chinese. For that matter, what the hell does 'shoepeg' mean in English?
So it's substitute time. If you don't have white shoepeg corn, you can use ___________. I'm thinking Mentos.

How about just corn? It'll add a bit of color and tastes almost the same.
