Budget

National (USA) Budget Simulation

Mine:

You have cut the deficit by $1408.87 billion.
Your new deficit is $-1007.86 billion.

Oops!
You've cut so much that the federal budget now contains a substantial surplus. Many economists warn that this budget may help induce or prolong a recession, and ordinary citizens demand a refund. You might want to cut taxes or raise spending.
Or I might not want to cut taxes or raise spending. I couldn't find the option to click where I send all the baby boomers to labor camps to make them work off their legacy.

Like the nursing home in Happy Gilmore.

To work off a 9 trillion dollar national debt, they'll have to do an awful lot of knitting...

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Our debt/GDP percent is low.

Karl, you're doing it all wrong. First, start two foreign wars. Then cut taxes on the richest 5%. Then cut all social services and education. Increase military spending. Then trash your trade relationships. You'll have no trouble balancing your budget!

Hey wait...

I've heard of that strategy. I think it's called 'Supply Slaughter' economics.
