Out of touch

What quarterback threw for 336 yards and three touchdowns yesterday? Trent Dilfer! I didn't even know Dilfer was still playing football these days. And he threw this in a game where the Cleveland Browns beat the Green Bay Packers? What kind of bizzarro football world is this where the Browns are beating anyone, much less the Pack?

=================================================================

There is going to be a chess tournament here in Taichung. Here are the details:
Time: Sunday, Oct 2, 9:00a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Either Zhong Xin University, or Hobbe's School on Xiang Shang S. Rd.
Tourney Format: Swiss Perfect, 6 rounds
Time controls: 25/10 (25 minutes per game, plus 10 secs per move.)
Cost: Approximately 300-500 NT$

If you are in Taichung and plan on participating in this tournament, it will probably just be easier for you to give me the registration fee directly, then smack yourself around until you feel humiliated and dejected. Because that's going to be pretty much the same result as if you faced me over the chessboard in tournament play. That is, unless your ICC handle is Laughingbuddha, in which case instead of going to the tournament I'll just make disparaging comments about my ancestry, then throw myself down a flight of stairs. Probably less painful, all things considered.

ESPN Says:

"Lost in the excitement of the start of the season is the great story being created by Trent Dilfer in Cleveland. He's completing 62.7 percent of his passes and has a 95.1 quarterback rating."

I was disconsolate when we picked up Dilfer, since he was a proven bust. But so, so good...

If you are a Cleveland Browns fan, shouldn't you be pretty used to being disconsolate?
