Taichung Traditions, and offensive humor

Was at PJ's last night, watching the recorded Eagles-Falcons MNF game. Now for those of you outside Taichung, here's how these (Eagles) games go: Everybody sits in the breezeway in front of the bar, watching a medium-sized TV hooked up to a VCR that PJ does not know how to set up. Every time the Eagles score, everyone present gets a free shot. However, the free shot in question is a plastic cup of frozen margarita. For the life of me, I cannot slam a frozen margarita, so the free "shot" is more like a free frozen drink in a plastic cup. But the drink itself is not too bad. If I ever have a bar, I'll do the same thing for televised chess tornaments. Every time Vishy Anand takes a major piece, everyone watching gets a free glass of chocolate milk with a dash of absinthe. Yeah, I'll get rich.

On the net, some website had a contest for the 10 funniest and the 10 most offensive religious jokes. This was deemed the second funniest one:

Jesus came upon a small crowd who had surrounded a young woman they believed to be an adulteress. They were preparing to stone her to death.

To calm the situation, Jesus said: "Whoever is without sin among you, let them cast the first stone."

Suddenly, an old lady at the back of the crowd picked up a huge rock and lobbed it at the young woman, scoring a direct hit on her head. The unfortunate young lady collapsed dead on the spot.

Jesus looked over towards the old lady and said: "You know, mother, you're not helping."

Will there be a shuttle bus service?

Oh, and Michael, we had been discussing a variant of the game where we each have two KTV girls behind us massaging our shoulders as we play.

Would that be okay with your wife? Let her know mine says its okay.

Yeah. Just nowhere else to go for a cheap beer and irresponsible gossip.
