Not that I'm a vegetarian, but I do buy vegetables. But I'll be damned if I'm going to pay NT$42 for a tomato. And what happened to all the okra? Every trip to the store I have been greeted by huge packs of cheap okra, right up to the day when I decided to make gumbo. All gone. At this rate I'll have to start blindly grabbing weird Taiwanese vegetables and making my best guess at home on how to cook them.
