Permanent

I'm going to apply for a Permanent Resident Certificate. I got the big-ass list of stuff I have to prepare, and see that they are asking for a health exam from an institution "assigned by National Health Administration". 14 years here on all kinds of visas and ARC's, and somehow I've never had to do a health check. Where does everyone go to do this?

Also, they are still asking for a police check from applicant's home country. Last time I talked to them about this, they agreed that I could just get a statement from the Taichung police office, since I've been here so long. Does anyone know if they still let people do that?
