Am I the only one who finds that guy from the Man Vs. Wild show to be an unmitigated jackass?

I really hate his show personally. It gives bad survival advice. While not perfect and often uneven, I like "Survivorman" with Les Stroud.

I'm not particularly qualified to judge his survival advice, but what I saw the other night sure seemed weird.

The guy is supposedly lost in Iceland, and he comes to a glacial river. And he says he has to cross it, so he jumps in with all of his clothes on.

I know I am from Florida and all, but that seemed like a real dumb thing to do, And a real dumb way to do it.
