It means "Servant" in Greek

Saturday, I got off my fat ass and went to Taichung harbor to see the MV Doulos. It was marketed locally (and represented to me) as a kind of floating library, that travels around the world from port to port, giving people of all nations access to its materials. Imagine my consternation to find myself, after an hour-long drive and a twenty minute wait, in a Christian bookstore.

I would think that the Commandment "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." is broad enough to imply "Thou shalt not engage in deceptive advertising practices." But I've never been any good at theology. Anyway, the trip was not a bust- They had a really good selection of childrens' books (compared to what is available locally), with standard offerings like Dr. Seuss & Bob the Builder. So I picked up some books for my four-year old nephew.

The Doulos was docked at the passenger terminal of Taichung Harbor. You may be thinking: "There's a passenger terminal at Taichung Harbor?". 'Cause that's what I was thinking. Can we travel by boat from Taichung? If so, to where?

Didn't they have a casino ship to Macao before?

Shit you can ferry to Penghu from Chiayi -- but not The Chung? We've been dissed!

Maybe they mean ferries around the harbor.
