Got back from Shanghai Saturday night. Swamped at work now. And I think I got SARS.
Will set up Taichung Axis & Allies tournament soon. Question: Single elimination or some type of Swiss or Round Robin system. Malv wants matches played once as Axis and once as Allies. I am thinking that is just too many games. Comments?

Remember when I got sick like 8 times in 6 months after visiting China too much?
I suggest getting the flu shot once its out for adults.
I think we should give up the whole tournament idea. Better to play Beer and pretzel style and enjoy each other's company.
Michael
What's all this about enjoying each other's company? I only play for the pleasure of seeing your armies broken before me, and to hear the lamentation of your women.
Circulating in DC:
Q: Why don't GOP congressman use bookmarks?
A: They don't?need to; they simply bend over the pages.
I first heard that joke when the last congressman-page sex scandal broke. Was that like 20 years ago?
Yeah, I think that was a guy named Studds.
Congressional page sex scandal
Studds is remembered chiefly for his role in the 1983 Congressional page sex scandal, when he and Representative Dan Crane were censured by the House of Representatives for separate sexual relationships with a minor ? in Studds's case, a 1973 relationship with a 17-year-old male congressional page. The relationship was consensual, but violated age of consent laws and presented ethical concerns relating to working relationships with subordinates.
During the course of the House Ethics Committee's investigation, Studds publicly acknowledged his homosexuality, a disclosure that, according to a Washington Post article, "apparently was not news to many of his constituents." Studds stated in an address to the House, "It is not a simple task for any of us to meet adequately the obligations of either public or private life, let alone both, but these challenges are made substantially more complex when one is, as I am, both an elected public official and gay."
As the House read their censure of him, Studds turned his back and ignored them. Later, at a press conference with the former page standing beside him, the two stated that what had happened between them was nobody's business but their own.
Now, I am gonna guess here that since a guy named STUDDS was caught, that this here CRANE fella was pretty much ignored by the press.
Also, Studds was re-elected 5 times. Interesting.
I Wiki'ed Dan Crane. He nailed a 17 year old female intern, and was promptly defeated for re-election in 1984. He was a Republican, so I guess that big ole paint brush o' morality that you guys like to wave aound so much came back to pop him in the face.
I don't think Foley has done anything all that evil. The problem (and all the great jokes), comes from the hypocrisy angle.
I don't wave around a big ol' paintbrush of morality, though Crane probably did. (Evidence by me liking Malv, an obvious libertine) I agree it's the hypocrisy, the cover-up , or the lies that get you. I also suggest if you are going to do something bad, get some guy named Studds or Butkis or Dicks to do it too and the public will naturally focus on that guy.
Bob Griese's brother was Dick Griese - no joke.
