Boots on the Ground blog. A soldiers life in Baghdad. He got home safely in late June.

I wonder how common is this practice? Bad idea, buying candy to hand out to kids in order to "avoid things we wouldn't otherwise be able to avoid".

I thought you said these blogs were all propaganda.

p.s. US soldiers have handed out candy for a long, long time, and yeah, probably sometimes for the wrong reasons.

I guess we don't get the chance to hand out nylons like we did in Germany, though.
