So the Kuomintang's favorite confused old uncle Lien Chan said in a television interview that it would be better if his son didn't marry a foreigner (yang2ren2).

Clearly Lien is worried about his son marrying a woman who might hit back. But I'lll tell you what Lien old buddy: If your son looks anything like you, I don't think the issue is going to come up.
