Some time ago I was in Key West visiting my mother, who is almost 80 years old. She mentioned that someone got caught with some "square grouper."

"What's a 'square grouper'?" I asked, like a dumbass.

"Kilo bricks of marijuana!" she replied. "Don't you know anything?"

Apparently not, I have been smoking 'pot' since 1965, and my own mother (who is so straight she doesn't even have books overdue at the library) came up with a slang term I hadn'd heard.

Hang my head in shame, I will never live it down.
