According to this page, there is no Costco opening in Taichung before July 2007. Couldn't find anything on the costco.com.tw domain either. I'm still trying to figure out if the big construction site on Ta Tun S. Rd. is the site of a Costco or something else. Living a ten minute walk from Costco would have to be pretty convenient, right?

You could live across the street from Costco and it would still be a giant pain in the bum to get your 2-gallon jug of ibuprofen and flat of diet soda home.

Truth be told, I've never actually been in a Costco. Closest thing I've ever seen would be the Pace Warehouse that used to be on Dale Mabry near Waters.

But I'm going to maintain my dream the Costco is a wonderland of cheap and delicious food items, and I'm not going to be dissuaded from my utopian capitalist fantasy. In Costco, I can buy one hundred hot dogs for two dollars, and they will be the most delicious hot dogs I've ever had. Soups and Velveeta cheese will be purchased for a song, and transformed into lovely Velveeta cheese soups in my kitchen.

And when I show other people my Costco membership card, women will swoon and other men will envy my maculine economic prowess.

And if it turns out that they sell beer at Costco, then I probably will need a 2-gallon jug of ibuprofen at some point.

You can order via fax. I do it all the time. Now that we have a nanny again, I will try to bring you a catalog when I come to play A&A
