I don't know who the blogger is behind Wandering to Tamshui , but he's got a pretty good post up about a book about wedding photography in Taiwan. Money quote:
Adrian concludes, in part, that the photographs? appeal comes from their lack of authenticity. They suggest that the bride once looked beautiful and lived a glamorous life before marriage and family broke her down. In this sense, the bride?s future self is one of the intended audiences for the pictures, as she can use the images in future conflicts with her husband and in-laws as evidence of the wear on her health and beauty from marriage and family.

The Hitler vs. Coulter Quiz
Lame. Ann Coulter is so 2003. I'd write more, but I am pretty busy wrapping my comically irrelevant charges in a haze of lies. Or maybe a haze of smoke.

Lastly, from The Onion AV Club, Classic Movies It's Okay To Hate. I'm just glad The Big Lebowski is named. That movie sucks. Not funny. Not interesting. Not worth it. Ann Coulter probably doesn't like it either.

My Mom LOVED the family picture album we got made here. In fact, she thinks there would be a huge market for this in the USA.
Okay, Ann Coulter or Adolf Hitler...who would you rather have some drinks with?
It's sick, but I think I'd choose Hitler.
But I forgot that he's a teetotaler (how do you pronounce that.
BTW, I'm STILL not over losing that game...don't know why it's sticking in my craw.
