Mormons Worship Seagulls?

A long time ago, Red A expressed incredulity when I said that my people (Southern Baptists in Sarasota, Florida) believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a satanic cult.

Well, maybe seagull cult, but it's not just my misguided kinfolk. This is the most uphill part of Romney's battle. Not policy. Not image. Not money. Just good old sectarian suspicion.

Mormons worship Steven Seagal

Which in my book is much *worse* than worshiping Satan.

No...*Flock of Seagulls*...."ran so far away" is a song about Joseph Smith's flight to Utah to escape persecution.

I did Christians worship...and Satan was ranked #4.

BTW, these captchas are getting hard to do.

Great point about Romney, so true. I'm actually member of the Mormon church, even though I am not currently active in the religion. And I just have to ask, isn't the definition of Christians those who express faith in Christ and who follow his teachings? Well Mormons do both so I guess we are Christian? Yes, we believe in and study the bible. And no, Joseph Smith is not our God. He was a disciple for God and his son, OUR Savior too, Jesus Christ.
Mormons are Christians. I thought everybody knew that by now.

A Christian has not just faith in Christ, but belief in The Resurrection. "Follows his teachings" isn't such a good indicator, there being a striking lack of agreement as to what that entails.

But to put this in perspective and context, the same preacher that fervently and loudly taught us that Mormons are not Christians said *much worse* things about Catholics.

Seagulls arrived in Utah to devour a large swarm of grasshoppers that threatened a key crop in the early days.

Good reason to worship them.

I still prefer to worship the truck that delivers the holy Budweiser.

Well, you are a practical man. And you have no locust plague to worry about.
