Over the past several days, voters throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia have filed complaints of incidents aimed at suppressing voter turn out in heavily Democratic and African American neighborhoods. Today, the Secretary of the Virginia State Board of Elections Jean Jensen concluded that the incidents appear widespread and deliberate.I say this is just liberal media propaganda. Everyone knows that people in Virginia don't have phones. Or shoes.

Not to worry. Your guys registered over 25,000 fake voters in St. Louis. It'll all balance out.
Ah, Two Wrongs Make a Right. One of my favorites. Combined with a couple of beers and a judicious dose of Red Herring, there is no defense. It's like the Miyagi Crane Style of political discourse.
Fake voter addresses in St. Louis? In any case, that's a Rethuglican Urban legend.
Michael
Well, since I notice your blog avidly covered the INDICTMENTS in St. Louis (as opposed to a couple of yet to be investigated complaints so far in VA, which may or may not turn out to be something) I can say, yeah, mea culpa, two wrongs don't make a right.
I truly regret what I said, after seeing how fair and balanced you are to cover INDICTMENTS like that...or wait, maybe I can dig up your old posts on some other CONVICTED shenanigans, like slashing the tires of vehicles...
"A congresswoman?s son and three Democratic campaign workers were sentenced Wednesday to four to six months in jail for slashing tires outside a Bush-Cheney campaign office on Election Day 2004.
The men pleaded no contest in January to misdemeanor property damage. A fifth worker was found not guilty.
?This case had to be a public example of what can happen when you interfere with voters? rights,? said Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Michael Brennan, who rejected prosecutors? recommendation of probation for the four men.

The state Republican Party had rented more than 100 vehicles to give rides to voters and poll monitors on Nov. 2, 2004. The cars were parked outside a GOP campaign office when the tires were punctured. The vandalism left the drivers scrambling for new vehicles."
Now, I have reviewed the scrupulously non-partisan Chaon Blog, and yes, he did cover this story, so I regret my attempt to use improper logic such as straw man, red herring, or did-not did-too in my commments.
BTW, my lawyer says my comment would be covered by the so-called "snark exception" in any event.
Now in a spirit of bipartisanship, best of luck to both sides, and hopefully anyone screwing with elections is punished severely. ;)
Michael, please do not use the word 'Rethuglican' in these comments. Not that I'm necessarily against insulting those with different political beliefs, it's just that I find that term to be insufficiently clever. Especially when you are replying to Aaron, who is about as thuggish as George Will.
Aaron, in the spirit of bipartisanship, let's agree that anyone convicted of election tampering in any way is lined up against a wall and shot.
Karl,
Does Neckbeardicans pass muster?
That's pretty good, but I associate neckbeards with libertarians and science teachers. Not sure why.
I think I saw something about an FBI investigation in New Jersey of an election official stuffing absentee ballots for Democrats.
Shoot him.
"Aaron, in the spirit of bipartisanship, let's agree that anyone convicted of election tampering in any way is lined up against a wall and shot."
Damn, you always find just the right compromise for me to agree.
