And now we need to talk about toilets. No, really. I went to the fancy-schmancy bathroom fixtures store on Wu Chuan W. Rd., and saw that the average price of the toilets they sell is NT$22000 (US$680). Having never purchased a toilet before, I did not realize that this was exceptionally expensive. Then I went to B & Q. Toilets there cost 1/10 of the fancy-schmancy import place. But the B & Q toilets were kind of ugly. But then it's just a toilet, so how elegant does it really need to be? And of course the bathroom tiles are much cheaper at B & Q, and they have a wider selection. And I betcha I can install a toilet myself, but floor tiles are damn hard work.

So should I:
a) Buy expensive toilets and furnishings, contract installation?
b) Buy cheap toilets and furnishings, DIY installation?
c) Crawl off in a corner and die because I suck and I just wasted your time with this drivel?
