Not funny:
That whole Rush Limbaugh / Michael J. Fox - Parkinson's thing.

As usual almost everbody missed the real point and chose instead to misinterpret, magnify and focus on something else.
The whole story told (and retold ad nauseum) at:

If you want it from "the horse's mouth" scroll down and listen to:
The Monologue That Started It All:
Democrats Exploit Michael J. Fox's Illness
That cannot be 'the monologue that started it all', since in that piece Rush is referring to his first screwup, the one shown in the video on Brian's site. You know, the one where Rush actually waves his body and arms around to mock the way Fox looked in the commercial.
So it is lies on top of lies smothered in cover his ass. Rush didn't say a thing when Fox was campaigning for Arlen Specter, but now he uses the word 'exploit' six times to describe the situation when Fox shills for a Dem.
Like I said, not funny at all.
Quick question from someone who has not followed this and is not willing to research it.
Did Fox do TV ads for Arlen Specter?
I could conceivable say that Rush maybe wouldn't have known about Fox just campaigning but the TV ad is more serious. (from a results view not a principle view, if you get me.)
BTW, Arlen Specter is not really loved among serious Republicans, and I'd guess Rush would have no problem slamming him either.
But, during an election cycle, I would probably agree with you that hypocrisy suddenly becomes the flavor of the month (s) for both parties.
and why the hell am I on this stupid blog written by an idiot who was not smart enough to go to school and work hard and ended up in the US military at one point. ;) (Kerry - the gift that you really want to return even though it keeps on giving.)
Watch the videos embedded on Brian's page, the one I liked to above.
Professionals talk about Turton Doubling.
Aaron, if you look in Wiki, you'll find Fox did indeed appear in a 2004 TV Ad for Specter.
Michael
Thanks Michael for letting me avoid watching all the videos etc.
I am not surprised. It seems like there is less and less principles every election.
Or is it because the cycle is in second-term fatigue mode?
BTW, should we create a wiki for "Turtoning and reverse-Turtoning naval builds in Axis and Allies."
Michael, I looked at that Wiki example of Turton doubling, and I can't figure out one thing. They say:
1.Bh8 (threatening 2.Qa3#) 1...b4
Why not 1... RxB ?
And in retrospect, did Limbaugh do the Dems a great big favor by pissing off enough people in Missouri to give us that state, and by extension the senate?
