I wonder how common is this practice? Bad idea, buying candy to hand out to kids in order to "avoid things we wouldn't otherwise be able to avoid".

ReplyDeletep.s. US soldiers have handed out candy for a long, long time, and yeah, probably sometimes for the wrong reasons.
I guess we don't get the chance to hand out nylons like we did in Germany, though.
